Name: Pedro Chirivella Burgos

Age: 16

DOB: 23.05.1997

Height: 1.78m (5ft 10in)

Position: Central Midfield & Attacking Midfield

Club: Valencia CF

Chirivella joined Valencia at the tender age of 5 and has risen through the ranks and currently plays in Valencia’s Juvenil A side.

He has captained the Spanish Under-16 side and has been compared to Sergio Busquets but with better ability going forward.

Chirivella on his best position: ”I can play 3 positions In midfield, defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder and deep-lying playmaker, but I feel most comfortable in the pivot position.”

Chirivella on his favourite players: “[Sergio] Busquets and Xabi Alonso are my favourite players, two very different players, but the best in their position. They are the two players I admire.”

In 2011, Barcelona made an offer to Valencia for the young midfielder which they duly accepted but the player himself rejected the Catalan club’s overture.

Chirivella is considered to be Spain’s best talent since Cesc Fabregas.

Last month news broke that the Valencian youngster has received several offers from Premier League clubs and also from the Bundesliga but he and his family decided that Liverpool’s offer was the best package. The offer includes accommodating his whole families move to the UK and also providing the best education available. Valencia have gone to great lengths to keep the youngster and made a last ditch offer but it seems the player has already made his mind up.

It is believed Chirivella will sign a 5 year contract worth €300k per season.
